The Puck Building on the edge of Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood features six sought-after loft residences known for their sweeping views of the city’s skyline. Since the launch of Mansion Global in May, the top-floor penthouse has consistently been one of the most-viewed listings on the site. With this in mind, we asked listing agent Nikki Field of Sotheby’s International Realty for a tour of the duplex residence, which is on the market for $66 million. With six bedrooms, six full baths and a powder room, the more than 7,200-square-foot home includes a great room for entertaining, a home theater, a library, a gym and a wine cellar. It has nearly 5,200 square feet of outdoor space, including a wraparound terrace with a putting green. A terrace on the second level features a hot tub, a wet bar and views of the Empire State Building. The family of property developer Jared Kushner bought the Puck Building in the 1980s. When creating the residences, the developer preserved many of the building’s rustic, industrial features, including the cast-iron columns and the barrel-vaulted brick ceilings. The renovations began in 2012 and were completed earlier this year.

PUCK PENTHOUSES

If the penthouse sells for its asking price, it would be the most expensive residential sale in downtown Manhattan, according to The Wall Street Journal. One of the residences sold to an art collector for its full $28 million asking price, Field said. “Soho is a very active area for Sotheby’s art auction house. The galleries are all here.” The residences feature mahogany-framed windows with filters designed to protect art inside. Field expects the future owner of this penthouse will be interested in art as well. “New wealth often begins spending their money in art collecting,” she said. “The next transition is buying a new home with walls to hang that art.” Agent: Nikki Field, Sotheby’s International Realty.
