A high-level studio exec has snapped up David Arquette’s historic home in the wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood of Windsor Square for $8.342 million, Mansion Global has learned.
Mr. Arquette, 45, a producer, director and ’90s movie star, bought the 109-year-old English Craftsman estate just three years ago for $7.15 million through a trust named after his production company, Kids Gone Bad, according to property records. Mr. Arquette starred in a number of popular movies from the 1990s, including the "Scream" horror series and "Never Been Kissed," and has more recently produced TV series like "Cougar Town."

A studio executive from Comcast-NBCUniversal closed on the deal at the end of June, sources told Mansion Global, though public property records don’t yet name the new owner of the historic landmark.
The seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home has a history dating back more than a century, when it was designed by prolific Los Angeles architecture firm Hunt, Eager & Burns. The home is named after former owner Henry O’Melveny, who helped build one of the nation’s biggest law firms O’Melveny & Myers.
In 1930, the attorney relocated the home from its original perch on Wilshire Boulevard to its current location on South Plymouth Boulevard. Seven decades later, Los Angeles landmarked the home as a prime example of English Tudor Revival architecture during the Arts and Crafts movement.
Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland represented the seller in the sale. Wesley Earley of John Aaroe Group represented the buyer.
With its steep-pitched roof and timber details, the home looks mostly as it did 100 years ago with the exception of a garage with staff quarters added in the 1930s, according to the Los Angeles Historic Resources Inventory.

The interior has authentic Tudor Revival details, such as ornate wood moulding, leaded windows and beamed ceilings, images of the home show.
The grounds encompass a pool and hot tub, landscaped gardens and a meditation pond.
Mr. Arquette first listed the home about a year ago for close to $8.5 million. A publicist for the actor did not immediately return a request for comment.
