Two not-yet-built homes in Golden Beach, Fla., an affluent community near Miami Beach, sold to the same buyer for $10.4 million, according to the developer. When completed, the neighboring residences will overlook the town’s mile-long stretch of private beach along the Atlantic Ocean. The homes cost about $800 a square foot, although the price could rise if the unidentified buyers choose to make upgrades. “The buyers were presented with plans for the homes and they liked them so much they bought them both,” said developer Jacob Abramson of Miami Golden Properties. “To sell a home like that, based on plans and renderings, is really quite an accomplishment for us.” The larger of the two homes, a 6,300-square-foot residence known as Bora Bora, will have six bedrooms, including a master suite with a balcony, eight baths and two powder rooms. The property will feature five terraces, a lap pool and a reflecting pond. It sold for $5.3 million. The 6,000-square-foot estate next door called Loft will feature five bedrooms, seven baths, a gym with a yoga terrace and a lap pool with a sunken hot tub. The Loft estate sold for $5.1 million. Construction of both homes is set to begin immediately, and is expected to be completed sometime in 2016, according to Abramson.
The residence known as Loft will be located at 240 Ocean Boulevard.
MIAMI GOLDEN PROPERTIESThe town of Golden Beach is located on the border of Miami-Dade and Broward counties. There are only 370 single-family homes in the area and the town charter forbids the construction of high-rise condominiums. Abramson is also selling a finished home down the street for $7.7 million, in addition to a 23,000-square-foot spec house on the beach. The asking price for the beach house? $36 million.
