Property sales in Los Angeles continue to break records. The average price for a single-family home sold in the second quarter of this year was $2.75 million, the highest for that period in 10 years, according to a new report from real estate brokerage The Agency. A similar trend is playing out in Beverly Hills, where the average sales price was $6.1 million in the second quarter, up 20% from a year ago. “What’s bringing these prices up are the view properties,” said Ryan Davis, director for real estate brokerage John Aaroe Group, which is based in Beverly Hills. More: A-List Estates in the Hollywood Hills Davis explained that buyers are seeking out contemporary estates that overlook the city and are willing to pay a premium for it. “If it has that true promontory view that people are looking for,” he said.
