It's not a hard-and-fast rule that card-carrying members of New York's elite media scene have to own property on Long Island's Southampton, but it sure seems that way given the number of bigwigs who do, including chat queen Kelly Ripa and shock jock Howard Stern.

The latest: sportscaster and "Today" show style expert Jill Dorfman—fans might recognize her as Jill Martin—who recently shelled out $3.7 million for a charming 5,400-square-foot open-concept home on Southampton's Corrigan Street, a rep for Douglas Elliman confirmed to Mansion Global.

Sitting on just over one- third of an acre, the house includes six bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths, as well as plenty of Hamptons-esque amenities including a professional chef’s kitchen, formal dining room, library, home theater, sauna, wine cellar, and—because, of course—a heated 18-foot x 40-foot saltwater pool.

The 40-year-old Long Island native currently covers fashion for NBC's morning show, as well as reports for the New York Knicks, contributing to pregame, halftime and postgame shows.

Ms. Martin's not the only "Today" talking head to make moves out east: Co-anchor Matt Lauer put two of his Hamptons homes on the market—a $4 million residence also in Southampton and an $18 million gated Sag Harbor mansion for $17.995 million.

Both came after  Mr. Lauer's reported purchase of Richard Gere's North Haven estate, which was listed at a cool $36.5 million.
