How's this for a flip: Gables Estate, a 10,000-square-foot Vancouver mansion, is being listed at a staggering $38 million, just two years after it was bought by its current owner for $9.5 million.

Located on South West Marine Drive in the city's upscale Southlands neighborhood, the price hike is primarily due to the extensive renovations completed this year. Among the upgrades are: A slate infinity pool with surround sound and Wi-Fi; a wine cellar and tasting room; a home theater; multiple roof decks; and a golf practice facility complete with tee boxes, artificial turf, a sand trap and a driving net.

In addition to the bells and whistles, the Tudor-style estate—which sits on 4.2 gated woodsy acres —features six bedrooms, nine baths, a self-contained guest wing, and a finished attic, according to the listing.

To say the current (and clearly savvy) owner lucked out with the property wouldn't be an overstatement: The mansion was originally listed for $12.8 million in 2013 before selling in 2014 for $9.5 million, $3.3 million under the asking price.
