There is little luxurious about roadside accommodations but GP Club is looking to change that—at least for high-net-worth travelers.
GP Club, a recently announced venture from Guess Petroleum, itself a division of the luxury-focused Guess Corp., will offer the super rich a rest stop that is more akin to a country club.
The members-only establishment has a list of amenities that would make Midas blush, including a steakhouse, sleeping suites, an on-site pool and water park, a medical clinic, a designer boutique, a hair salon and more—all housed in a four-story mansion-style structure, according to the Guess Corp.

Of course, GP Club will also have those other rest stop staples, including a gas station and a convenience store, but the latter with be stocked with high-end merchandise and the former will redefine the meaning of "full service."
Upon arrival, members will be received by a valet, who will take their vehicle to be hand-washed, waxed and fully fueled while they enjoy the club’s many, many amenities.

Tiffany Taylor, corporate vice president for the Guess Corp., told Mansion Global that after an applicant’s assets are determined, via referrals from industry professionals such as private bankers or real estate brokers, a local membership committee will review the potential members application. Membership will be limited to households with net worths exceeding $50 million and members will be required to pay an annual membership fee.

Ms. Taylor declined to disclose the annual membership fee cost, citing company policy in regards to members' privacy.
Ms. Taylor was able to offer more detail about GP Club’s more outstanding amenities, however.
"The sleeping suites will really be for those who wish to sleep comfortably while taking a break from the road for a few hours at a time," she informed Mansion Global via email. "Although overnight stays will be permitted with an implied limit of 48 hours."
And if you’re feeling under the weather while on the road, the medical clinic should be fully capable of curing what ails you.
"There will be a physician, physician's assistant and pharmacist on staff at the medical clinic," Ms. Taylor saidl, adding that "urgent care-like services will be provided."

As for the Club’s stately, mansion-esque appearance? That was by design.
"The GP Club is to be a home on the road for members that are traveling and so it was designed as a large home," said Ms. Taylor.
Benefits don’t begin and end at the club facility either. In addition to an around-the-clock travel concierge, members will also access 24-hour roadside emergency services throughout the U.S. provided directly by GP Club.
Initial launch plans call for 15 locations, largely in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern United States, as well as outposts in Greenwich, Conn., and Beverly Hills, Calif., with a grander goal of expanding to 250 locations in the next three years. Ultimately, the company hopes to field two GP Clubs per state.
Members can expect that amenities and design will be the same at every GP Club, according to company officials.
