A Colonial-style house in Beverly Hills that previously belonged to Donald Trump has hit the market for just under $30 million, according to the listing agent.

The real-estate mogul-turned-Republican presidential nominee sold the .71-acre property to the current owner for $12 million in 2009. The two-story house has since been rebuilt, and returned to the market Monday with a new price tag: $29.995 million.

"The present owner is a world-renowned developer who built the house for his own family," said real-estate agent Paul Margolis of Compass, who is listing the property with Yvette Pozzato.

The house sits on Rodeo Drive, a stroll away from the famed Beverly Hills Hotel. "It’s the largest lot on this particular block," Mr. Margolis said.

When the owner re-built the home—which was constructed in the early 1980s—he added 5,000 square feet of living space, bringing the total square footage to just below 15,000, according to Mr. Margolis.

The house has 11 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms, and one partial bath. There’s also an elevator, a spice kitchen—used for food preparation—and a sauna. The seller added a Bose sound system, which runs throughout the entire property.

The only relic from the Trump era is the den, which has been refurbished. The owner preserved the original wood paneling and added a separate HVAC exhaust system so the room could be used to smoke cigars.

The mansion opens onto a sprawling backyard. It features a swimming pool with fountains, a Carrara marble patio, and a regulation-size sports court—all of which are new.

The owner is selling the property because he works abroad and is now spending more time at his other homes.

For those looking to buy a less expensive home once belonging to Mr. Trump, his childhood home in Queens, New York, has just seen a $100,000 price reduction. It’s now listed at $1.55 million.
