Jeremy Lin, the first American-born NBA player of Chinese descent, has officially made a comeback in the Big Apple—and maybe this time, with $36 million in hand, he can buy a permanent residence in Brooklyn.
Lin became world-famous in 2012, when he unexpectedly led a winning streak for the New York Knicks, spawning a global phenomenon known as Linsanity. Yet, despite his star status with the Knicks, he did not make New York his permanent home. First, he camped out on a couch in his brother’s Manhattan apartment, then he sublet a condo from a former teammate.

Now, after playing for the Houston Rockets and Charlotte Hornets for the past four years, Lin is moving back to New York. He signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets in early July.
Lin is currently renting an Airbnb in Brooklyn, according to The New York Times. Mansion Global has rounded up five luxury properties in Brooklyn for Jeremy Lin to consider purchasing if he intends to live in New York full time.
