Six of the residences at 565 Broome SoHo will have their own 25-foot swimming pools.

That’s just one of the new details that has emerged about the building, the first residential project in New York City from Renzo Piano Building Workshop, the firm led by the Pritzker Prize-winning Italian architect, Renzo Piano.

Set on Varick Street between Watts and Broome streets, not far from the Hudson River, the 565 Broome condominium will consist of 115 luxury residences, ranging from studios to full-floor apartments with four bedrooms. There will be six duplexes — two of them penthouses — each with its own 25-foot saltwater swimming pool.

Prices start at $1 million and will go up to $20 million for the full-floor units, according to a spokesman for the project. Pricing for the penthouses and duplex units has not been released.

The 30-story building will have curved corners to maximize views of the Hudson River.

The 30-story building will split into two towers at the 16th floor, allowing light to flood the residences from all sides. The lobby, retail space, amenities and mechanical systems will occupy the lower levels. Shared amenities will include a landscaped terrace, a fitness center, a lounge with a wet bar, and a 55-foot indoor swimming pool.

Construction of the property is underway. Sales are slated to launch this summer, with the first closings expected in mid-2018, according to the project spokesman.

Mr. Piano’s firm is also designing Eighty Seven Park, a condominium development coming to Miami’s North Beach neighborhood. The oceanfront property will be the firm’s first residential project in the U.S.
