NBC “Today” show host Matt Lauer is on a roll when it comes to Hamptons real estate. Just last week, he was identified as the mysterious buyer of Richard Gere’s $36.5 million Hamptons estate. And this week, news came out that he is selling his much-smaller waterfront cottage in the Hamptons.

The veteran TV anchor listed his North Sea, Southampton cottage for $3.95 million. He purchased it in 2009 for $2.15 million, according to Variety.

Per the listing on Corcoran, the cottage sits on three-quarters of an acre of landscaped land. The 1,800-square-feet house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and wraparound deck overlooking lawn, water and a dock with an adjacent detached garage. The spacious living room features bleached wood floors and a white brick fireplace.

Listing agent Susan Breitenbach declined to comment.

Ms. Breitenbach was also the listing agent for Richard Gere’s massive, gated waterfront compound, Strongheart Manor.

Strongheart Manor, a 12,000-square-foot mansion, first came on to market in 2013 with an asking price of $65 million. Failing to find a suitable buyer, its price was most recently chopped to $36.5 million. Mr. Lauer reportedly closed the deal at this price level. Ms. Breitenbach confirmed to Mansion Global that Mr. Lauer was, in fact, the buyer of the property but she would not disclose the price.

In addition to the waterfront cottage now for sale and their new Strongheart Manor, Mr. Lauer and his wife Annette own at least two other expansive properties in the Hamptons, according to Variety. The couple owns a 24.6-acre estate in Water Mill and a 40-acre farmland just down the road, the magazine reported.
