Joe and Giovanna Lockhart, whose Washington, D.C. castle will be the new home of the Obamas when the First family leaves the White House next year, have reportedly bought a three-bedroom condo in Manhattan.
The apartment, located at 415 Greenwich St. in Tribeca, was listed earlier this year by Compass at $5.9 million and sold for $5.5 million about three weeks ago, according to listing information on StreetEasy.

The sale was first reported by Luxury Listings.
The unit has approximately 2,693 square feet, meaning the Lockharts paid around $2,042 per square foot.
It represents a downsize for the former White House press secretary and his wife, the Washington editor of Glamour magazine, whose home in Washington is about three times the size of the New York City property and has nine bedrooms.
The apartment is located in an eight-story, 62-unit building built in 1912, which features a sun-lit sculpture garden, health club and landscaped roof deck.
The Lockhart's new residence, which also includes 3.5 bathrooms and a grand 50-foot glass-walled gallery perfect for art enthusiasts, carries monthly common charges of $2,466, according to the listing.
