Following his March wedding to former model Jerry Hall, media executive Rupert Murdoch is putting his Manhattan mansion on the market for $28.9 million, Page Six reports. The 25-foot-wide West Village townhouse includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and three partial baths. “It has very high ceilings and huge windows, so the light is incredible,” listing agent Dolly Lenz of Dolly Lenz Real Estate, told Mansion Global. There’s outdoor space on nearly every floor, including a rooftop terrace with views of the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center. French doors on the garden level open to a three-tiered garden. There’s also a gym, wine cellar and screening room. “We’ve had inquiries from around the world,” Lenz said. “The likely [buyers] are Chinese nationals, private equity investors, hedge-funders, entrepreneurs and, generally, the wealthy... looking for a super-prime location.” Mr. Murdoch is the Executive Chairman of News Corp, which owns Dow Jones, publisher of Mansion Global. The great room features a wood-burning fireplace made of Carrara marble.
