The apartment was last sold in 2008 to SMUCPW, LLC for $8.6 million, according to property records.

Since then, the home has seen significant enhancements.

The home was renovated in 2015 by the design firm Pembrooke & Ives, according to the broker, Kyle Blackmon. "The property's most notable feature is the reconfiguration of the living/dining room," he said over email."The owner's architectural team removed the wall between the living and dining room to create a loft-like space overlooking Central Park, which allows for gracious entertaining and generous wall space for an art collection."

In the dining room, living room and foyer area, hand-worked Venetian stucco covers the walls. Additionally, 11-foot ceilings with custom-made plaster crowns complete the space.

"The public rooms have exceptional morning light facing east overlooking Central Park," Mr. Blackmon said. "To the west, the master bedroom and guest room enjoy sunsets overlooking the city and the Hudson River. " The home features 40 feet of frontage on Central Park, according to Compass, which listed the property.

Other custom finishes abound in the 30th-floor apartment. The contemporary kitchen features gray custom cabinets coated in Mercedes-Benz automotive lacquer, hand buffed to shine, with Caesarstone countertops and backsplashes. The appliances are Wolf, Dornbracht, and Sub-Zero. The half-bath has more Venetian stucco work, as well as AnnSacks mosaic tile and a custom vanity with Tabu veneers. In the master bath, there is custom ombre glass, as well as Dornbracht fixtures and heated floors. The master bedroom has three generous closets, with oak and metal inlay, and offers views of the city and partial views of the Hudson. 15 Central Park West is one of the most luxurious and exclusive buildings in Manhattan. It offers a private dining room for residents, a private motor court and garage, and a fitness center with a 75-foot lap pool, steam room and sauna
