A 1930s Spanish hacienda, which has been owned for more than 80 years by the same Hollywood family, has returned to the market for $9.995 million.
The 3,550-square-foot home located in the Bel Air neighborhood in Los Angeles first came onto the market for $11.9 million in May. It was the longtime home to the late Mexican-American actress Lupita Tovar and her talent agent husband Paul Kohner.
Tovar was a pioneer in Mexican cinema, best known for her starring role in the 1931 Spanish language version of "Drácula" and the 1932 movie "Santa." She died last year at 106.
Kohner founded the second-oldest talent agency in Hollywood, managing the careers of a number of fellow European stars who made their names in the U.S. He died in 1988.

"We had a lot of dinner parties for Hollywood personalities and Sunday morning brunches for the European community in Los Angeles," Pancho Kohner, the son of the famous couple and a prolific producer himself, told Mansion Global.
This fabled property was frequently visited by celebrities such as Greta Garbo, Billy Wilder, Gene Autry, Marlene Dietrich and John Huston, according to Mr. Kohner.
"My mother loved the house because of its Spanish hacienda characteristics," Mr. Kohner said. "It became part of the history in Bel Air."
To buy the hacienda in 1935, his father had to sell the rights to "Victoria," a novel by Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun, who won a Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920, according to Mr. Kohner, who would later reacquire the rights and produced the Norwegian-language version in 2013. Mr. Kohner is known for producing movies based on children’s book series "Madeline."
Befitting for a family of entertainers, the six-bedroom, five-bathroom home features a large living room with a piano, a formal dining room, and a den/office with a fireplace.
Outdoor park-like grounds on more than an acre were also favorite places for the family and their guests, Mr. Kohner said, "The ground is very romantic."
There is a creek, a pool and patio area, creating a hidden oasis just one block away from the Bel Air Hotel.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage"I feel sorry to see it go," Mr. Kohner said. While he hopes the next owner will refurbish the 80-year-old house instead of tearing it down, he admits the acreage might offer an opportunity to build a bigger, newer home.
He and his sister, Susan Weitz, an award-winning actress who lives in New York, are selling the estate. Ms. Weitz’s sons, Paul and Chris Weitz, are also active in Hollywood. They directed and produced the "American Pie" series of movies and romantic comedy "About a Boy," starring Hugh Grant.
Chris Weitz has also directed a number of recent book-adapted blockbusters like "The Golden Compass" and the second "Twilight" film, "New Moon."
