The opera-inspired Aria on the Bay is officially going vertical. The 53-story waterfront condo tower set in the heart of the Arts & Entertainment district in downtown Miami is being developed by Argentina’s Melo Group, which calls the project its “most high-end” to date. Located at 1770 N. Bayshore Drive, the luxury tower is slated for delivery in late 2017, when it will offer 648 one-to-four bedroom condos and three-story penthouses, with prices ranging from around $400,000 to over $12 million. According to the developer, the tower is being built on one of the last parcels of waterfront land in downtown Miami, “providing a lifetime of guaranteed unobstructed water views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami Beach skyline.” Over 50% of the project is already under contract. Bernardo Fort-Brescia of the architectural firm Arquitectonica, headquartered in Miami, is in charge of both the design and build of the project. “Aria's semi-circular balconies make reference to those inside the classic opera houses,” Fort-Brescia said in a statement. “The arrangement could also be interpreted as a musical score, or a series of curves dancing to a tune.”

Residences at Aria will feature floor-to-ceiling glass and expansive wrap-around terraces. Other features include resort amenity deck located on the 14th floor, four swimming pools, and outdoor kitchens. The project also incorporates a commercial component with retail and restaurant space located at the ground level. Cervera Real Estate is Aria’s exclusive sales and marketing brokerage.
