Not many residences in New York can claim an alley for an amenity. The soon-to-be-built condominium 1 Great Jones Alley in Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood will be one of the few. A 125-foot long alley will lead to the front of the building. Nearly all of the alley belongs to the building’s developer, Madison Realty Capital. It will be repaved with Belgian blocks, and set behind a steel-and-mesh gate, the New York Times reported. Construction of the 12-story building began in the summer. When finished, it will consist of 16 residences, including three full-floor apartments with four bedrooms and a balcony, in addition to a two-story penthouse. Prices start at $3.75 million for a two-bedroom apartment measuring nearly 1,800 square feet. The penthouse will be priced at $22.5 million. The residences will feature open-concept living areas with 10-foot high ceilings. Kitchens will include Italian white oak cabinetry and Calacatta marble countertops. Each residence will have a private elevator entry. Residents will have access to an underground spa, which has two thermal baths, a plunge pool and a steam room. The second floor will feature a landscaped terrace. Sales are expected to launch in early 2016. Completion is scheduled for the spring of 2017, according to a spokesman for the developer.

Amenities will include an underground spa.
