As Americans scour the internet for Cyber Monday bargains, Chinese buyers may have access to the day’s best deal. Dubai-based developer Damac Properties and Chinese real estate and financial services company Qfang are teaming up to provide potential property buyers from the Asian nation with a free trip to the Middle Eastern city. In a press release announcing the deal, Qfang Chairman Liang Wenhua remarked that the partnership was intended to “reward Chinese buyers with a special gift by allowing them to visit Dubai and discover in person the magnificent attributes that this metropolitan city is offering.” So confident are the companies that potential buyers will be enticed by the offerings of the “magnificent” metropolis that they are willing to foot the bill for air ticket, hotel stay and visa cost among other travel expenses. The new take on real estate tourism appears comes as Dubai faces a declining high-end home market and Chinese buyers are increasingly cautious amid their nation’s economic woes.
