Sales launched yesterday for residences at the Bryant, a new high-end condominium in Manhattan that will be built on Bryant Park. The building is the first large-scale residential project in the city designed by the renowned British architect David Chipperfield. The 34-story tower will consist of 57 one- to four-bedroom residences on the 16th through the 34th floors. A boutique hotel will occupy the lower levels. There are currently eight listings on the market, ranging from a one-bedroom apartment with one bathroom for $2.225 million to a four-bedroom residence with four bathrooms for $9.435 million. There will be two three-story penthouses with a private roof deck and a sunroom. Pricing for the penthouses has not been released.

The building’s cast aggregate and stone façade will wrap around to the columns that separate the unit’s floor-to-ceiling windows. There will be oak floors in a herringbone pattern; the bathrooms will feature stone slab walls. Residents will have access to a lounge in the lobby, a fitness center and an in-building restaurant with priority reservations. The sixth floor will house a club featuring dining rooms and conference rooms, as well as a full bar and a terrace that overlooks Bryant Park. The club’s interiors will be designed by Stonehill & Taylor, a design firm that was involved in a number of hotel projects in Manhattan, including the Crosby Street, NoMad and Ace hotels. The Bryant is being developed by HFZ Capital Group. The project is under construction with completion expected in the spring of 2017.
