A 14-acre estate in Cohasset, Massachusetts, comprising a seven-acre private island and a seven-acre main property with a 275-year-old house on it, has come onto the market for $11.4 million.

The estate has 2,500-feet of water frontage, according to the listing posted last week by N. Frank Neer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

"It offers a lot of privacy and serenity on the Atlantic Ocean," Mr. Neer said. "Besides, the owners are able to enjoy the four beautiful seasons in the classic, unspoiled New England town."

Cohasset, commutable to Boston by car, boat or train, is featured in the 1987 movie "The Witches of Eastwick" starring Jack Nicholson and Cher. It is also the setting for the 2016 movie "The Finest Hours."

The Colonial-style main house, built in 1742 on Black Horse Lane, has six bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms and features hardwood floors and five fireplaces throughout. The 5,685-square-foot home is already hooked up to the town sewer and is ready for renovations, according to the listing.

"Although it’s livable, buyers might want to bring their own designers to modernize it," Mr. Neer said.

Outdoors, there is a boat house, a private dock, a pool and pool house and a four-car garage. There are two additional buildable lots, according to Mr. Neer.

The island, accessible by boat, has no living accommodations and is mainly for conservation.

The current owners, listed as Jak LLC in public records, couldn’t be immediately reached for comment.
