A new condominium in Manhattan raked in a lot of attention this week for its floricultural features. Known by its address, the forthcoming 303 East 44th Street will be located in Midtown East near the United Nations. The biggest draw for this building could be what its architect, Eran Chen of ODA-New York, has referred to as “sculptured gardens.” Some of the floors will be separated by 16-foot gaps, starting at the 23rd floor. The gaps, which will be supported by white beams, will be used as gardens for eleven of the building’s residences. Each of the gardens will be shared by two apartments. These residences will have 1,000 square feet of private space. The penthouse will have access to a sixth garden that will be 2,000 square feet. The 41-story condominium will consist of 42 half- and full-floor luxury residences. The lower floors will offer one- and two-bedroom apartments, while the full-floor units on the upper levels will have three bedrooms. The building is being developed by Triangle Assets. A spokesperson for the developer could not release pricing information at this time. Construction is expected to begin next year.

The glass tower will be 650-feet-tall when complete.
