California nearly completed a clean sweep. The recently released 2015 Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report ranks the most expensive housing markets in America based on the average price of a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home. California communities took nine of the top 10 slots (and 15 of the top 20), losing only the ninth position to the Minnesota city of Orono (average price, $1,384,270). Newport Beach came in first with an average price of $2,291,764. A Coldwell spokesperson said that New York City was excluded from the report due its volume of single-family homes.
