The boutique condominium 33 E. 74th Street, which combines the former Whitney Townhouses into one residential building, has unveiled its model apartment. The development will consist of 10 residences. Eight of the apartments will be in a new building that was constructed in place of a row of 19th-century brownstones, which were previously owned by the Whitney Museum. The façades were preserved. The other two residences, which are in contract for $32 million and $45 million, will be located in the Atterbury Mansion next door. With nearly 4,000 square feet of living space, the model apartment has three bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and a private entry gallery. The interiors were designed by Alexandra Champalimaud, whose firm was involved in a number of projects in New York, including renovations of the Carlyle, the Pierre and the Waldorf-Astoria, in addition to hotel projects around the world. Of the ten residences, four are in contract. Four others are on the market, including the model apartment, which is listed for $14.55 million. Two apartments have not yet listed. Completion is expected in early 2016.
