Location:  Danville, Calif.

Price: $14 million Hidden on nearly 2½ acres in the Blackhawk Country Club community, which is in the San Francisco Bay Area, this Tuscan-inspired estate overlooks Mount Diablo and the Las Trampas foothills. The property includes a three-level main house, a separate guesthouse and a pool cabana. A loggia with an outdoor kitchen and a dining area connects the three buildings. “It really helps to create that indoor-to-outdoor California lifestyle,” said agent Susan Bazinett of Sotheby’s International Realty, who is co-listing the property with agent Gregg Lynn. With almost 16,500 square feet of living space, the main house has nine bedrooms, an office suite with a private terrace, a library with a patio, a second office, a gym, a home theater, a bistro-style dining area and a wine cellar. Outside, there are two sports courts and a walk-in swimming pool with a spa. There is even a ‘pet spa’ for any four-legged residents, which includes a deep-jetted tub, grooming facilities and a dog run, in addition to a glass-walled aviary. The property is owned by a foundation. Bazinett declined to name who is behind the foundation, but said it's an American businessman in the software industry who has been featured on Forbes' list of the world's wealthiest people. He purchased the estate in 2006 and rebuilt it with a team of architects and designers. Agents: Susan Bazinett and Gregg Lynn of Sotheby’s International Realty View the full listing.
