Hockey great Wayne Gretzky has purchased his old six-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion in Thousand Oaks, California, for $13.5 million. It is a property he previously sold to former baseball star Lenny Dykstra for $18.5 million.

Under Mr. Dykstra’s ownership, the home sold at a foreclosure auction in 2010 after he went bankrupt. Since then, property records show there have been multiple transactions involving the home. It is unclear who sold it to the Gretzkys.

Before buying the house on April 6 in what appears to be an off-market deal, according to property records in PropertyShark, Mr. Gretzky was busy selling other properties within Sherwood Country Club, where the house is located. On April 2, he sold a 5,600-square foot Mediterranean-style home for $4.2 million, and in December, he sold a four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in the community for $3.4 million. In January 2017, he sold another Sherwood Country Club property for $6 million. All of the transactions for the properties, including the one he just purchased, involved the same trustee.

The home has more than 13,200 square feet of space. The estate includes two guest houses, a four-car garage and a tennis court, according to a previous listing for the property.

The prior listing says that the house also has amenities, including a screening room with a concession area, a wine cellar and a fitness facility.

The grounds, which encompass more than 6.5 acres, feature an outdoor entertainment area, a gazebo, a rose garden and both wood and gas barbecue grills. The property also has extensive views of Lake Sherwood and the Santa Monica Mountains.

A representative for Mr. Gretzky, 57, declined to comment.
