Originally offered as a countertop convection oven, the June Oven has recently expanded into the wall-model market with the June Oven Pro. What remains the same is that the June Oven, in each iteration, is one of the most clever cookers available. Not only does it offer all the remote control capabilities expected of a Wi-Fi-connected oven, the device strives for optimal food preparation—with limited input from the user. Featuring an HD camera, paired with proprietary Food ID technology, the June Oven identifies your meal and implements an Adaptive Preset Cooking program that requires no preheating. The June Oven’s built-in food thermometer ensures that food has reached ideal internal temperature, and automatic software updates keep the convection oven cutting edge. Best of all, the June’s clean controls and simple user interface facilitate cooking with ease.

This stylish range, which comes in 48-inch and 36-inch models, pairs professional oven technology with a pretty face. But the Discover iQ’s tech isn’t confined purely to the realm of the culinary. The Wi-Fi-connected range can be controlled remotely and monitored via the Dacor iQ app and comes equipped with a 7-inch LCD control panel that doubles as a web-browsing touchscreen monitor—allowing users to read recipes, view cooking tutorials or simply watch the latest episode of the “Great British Bake-Off.” Equally as clever as a built-in monitor, the Discovery iQ allows users to tilt the touch screen for optimal viewing from above.

The Jenn-Air series of Wi-Fi-connected wall ovens looks to merge the standard features of smart technology with some of the more intelligent aspects of ovens like the June Oven. Users can exercise complete control over their Jenn-Air remotely—adjusting temperatures and cook times, turning the oven on/off, pre-heating, monitoring cooking status—through an accompanying app, or via voice control by pairing the oven with Amazon’s Alexa. However, Jenn-Air ovens will also try to help you prepare the best meal possible. Offer your specific meal preferences to the Jenn-Air’s built-in Culinary Center, and the oven will offer doneness levels, preferred pan-types and full-color pictures of prepared meals—essentially offering custom tips for the menu you are building. Better still, the Jenn-Air connected wall oven series can be paired with your Nest thermostat and alert you when you’ve accidentally left the oven on, or automatically adjust the temperature in the kitchen while you’re cooking.
