The so-called “super penthouse” at Singapore’s tallest building hit the market on Thursday with a sky-high asking price to match the views.
The five-bedroom triplex atop the Tanjong Pagar Center is now the most expensive home on the market in the wealthy Asian city-state, priced at S$108 million (US$78.187 million), according to local listing sites. The home is part of the Wallich Residence, 181 residential units at the top of the mixed-use tower developers GuocoLand completed last year.
The residential portion of the building designed by Chicago-based architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill will be complete by 2019, the tower’s website says.
The penthouse is being listed with Donald Ng of Sotheby’s International Realty, who could not immediately be reached for comment.
The crown jewel takes up the top three floors of the 290-meter tower (960 feet). It’s being offered as a five-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment spanning more than 21,000 square feet, according to a brochure from GuocoLand.
The penthouse starts on the 62nd floor, which encompasses all five bedrooms, including master and “junior master” bedrooms. The first level of the home has a private garden, family room and dramatic viewing deck.
Upstairs, the penthouse’s second level has a formal dining room that flows into a 600-bottle wine room, lounge and kitchen. The top floor of the penthouse—and the tower—contains the unit’s private pool, cabana and hot tub. The pool deck is attached to a full bar and kitchen and roof terrace designed for entertaining.
The penthouse also has access to building amenities, including all of those offered by Sofitel Singapore City Centre, a five-star hotel in the building. Owners will also get access to a 24/7 butler service, through which “no request is too trivial,” according to the developers.
“GuocoLand’s concierge team assists residents across a complete range of services. Whether it is chartering a yacht or a private jet or arranging a private chef,” according to the listing with Sotheby’s.
Reuters was the first to report on the record-breaking unit hitting the market.
