While it only takes about four minutes to get onto the Pacific Coast Highway, the buyer will get a decent amount of privacy as the nearest neighbor is about a half-mile away, according to Rick Fields of Coldwell Banker, the listing agent and co-owner of the home.
He and his interior designer husband purchased the property for $2.64 million in 2015 as an investment and made many changes to it, particularly to the outside.
"It was a good house to start with but I think the sellers ran out of money so never completed it," Mr. Fields told Mansion Global. "There are other homes in the area but this one is unusual because it sits up on its own bluff by itself."
The finished product includes a Spanish/Moorish-style main house, with light and airy interiors and large windows, from which the surrounding views can be enjoyed.
Keeping with Moorish theme, the main living area has Moorish arches and mosaic tiling—a style that is seen throughout the home.
Elsewhere, there is a dark wood-paneled kitchen and dining area, a covered porch area with grand Moorish arches and an expansive terrace overlooking the pool area.
Outside, there is a saltwater lap pool and spa, as well as lounging areas to enjoy the panoramic views. This includes two pavilions with white columns, which Mr. Fields and his husband added to the property.
