A Mediterranean style-home in San Francisco owned by Luke "Lucky Luke" Brugnara, a real estate mogul currently imprisoned for art fraud, sold last week for $18.8 million, according to listing records.

Located in the city’s Sea Cliff neighborhood, known for its large houses and ocean views, the property first listed in December 2016 with an asking price of $19.675 million, at the time, it was the second most expensive property in San Francisco, according to Curbed

Built in 1925, the seven-bedroom home has five bathrooms, spans 6,650 square feet and has "huge potential," according to the listing with Pacific Union International's Mark Allan Levinson, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

It was purchased in 2002 for $7 million by Mr. Brugnara’s company, Brugnara Properties, according to city records, which also show a number of liens filed on the home.

Mansion Global could not verify the buyer of the property.

Mr. Brugnara, 54, was arrested in 2014 and is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence after he was convicted of an $11 million art scam. In 2015, he reportedly made the FBI Most Wanted List after escaping from custody while at the San Francisco federal building during a meeting with his attorney.

San Francisco’s Sea Cliff neighborhood has also been home to the late Robin Williams, Sharon Stone and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, whose four-bedroom home returned to the market earlier this month with a $13 million price tag.

Curbed first reported the sale.
