For the fashionista seeking temporary, yet sumptuous accommodations, the Manhattan townhouse that once belonged to the late style icon Gianni Versace can now be rented for $65,000 a month.

The property first hit the rental market at $120,000 a month in April. The price was reduced this week, according to Curbed. A spokeswoman for Corcoran, the listing agent for the property, declined to comment.

Set on East 64th Street near Fifth Avenue, the limestone townhouse has nearly 14,000 square feet of living space on six floors, including five bedrooms and more than six bathrooms, according to the listing. A rear balcony runs the width of the house, offering views of the garden.

Inside, there’s a smattering of animal prints, from the leopard-print staircase runner in the marble foyer, to the armless zebra-print chairs in one of the reception rooms, images from the listing show. The master suite features a luxurious bed draped in velvet. In the bathroom, stairs lead to a golden soaking tub encircled by mirrors.

Mr. Versace purchased the property in 1995. Two years later, he was slain on the steps of his Miami mansion, known as Casa Casuarina. After Mr. Versace’s death, the contents of his Manhattan townhouse were sold and the estate was put on the market. The current owner is Swedish hedge fund manager Thomas Sandell, who purchased the home for $30 million in 2005, according to news reports.
