The Upper West Side townhouse belonging to movie producer Robert "Bob" Weinstein has sold for $15 million, according to property records filed with the city Monday.
Mr. Weinstein, 63, the head of The Weinstein company, bought the house on West 70th Street with his now ex-wife, Annie Clayton, for $15 million in 2009, property records show. The house, which had an asking price of $17.9 million, sold to a limited liability company.

Built in 1910, the 6,608-square-foot home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and three half bathrooms, five gas fireplaces, a terrace, two balconies and a roof deck, according to the home’s listing with Corcoran brokers Deborah Grubman, David M. Adler and Paul Albano, who did not respond to requests for comment.
The house has "undergone a meticulous gut restoration of unparalleled quality," the listing said, which included the use of period-correct wood paneling and the restoration of the original five-story oak staircase. The house was never lived in, according to the listing.

Mr. Weinstein, whose company did not immediately respond to request for comment, is still trying to part with a sizable co-op in the tony Beresford building, also on the Upper West Side, for $29.5 million.
He is the founder and head of Dimension Films and former co-chairman of Miramax Films, all of which he co-founded with his brother Harvey Weinstein, who was forced out of the company amid dozens of allegations of sexual harassment and assault.
