The Los Angeles home that provided the backdrop for many scenes in the 1981 film "Mommie Dearest" has just had another price chop. But if you buy it—just make sure you do a good job of cleaning it.

The cost of the grand mansion in the coveted Holmby Hills neighborhood has been cut to $19.999 million from the last asking price of $22.85 million and its original listing price of $35 million set during the summer of 2016, according to listing records.

The six-bedroom home provided the setting for some of the scenes in "Mommie Dearest," the movie adaption of Christina Crawford’s autobiographical tale of the alleged abuse she experienced at the hands of her movie-star adoptive mother, Joan Crawford, played by Faye Dunaway. In the movie, Crawford is obsessive about keeping the house clean.

While many of the scenes inside the house were filmed at another location during the shooting, this mansion, located at the exclusive South Mapleton Drive,  was used for all the backyard scenes— including the infamous swimming race and the lavish birthday party complete with a carousel.

Crawford’s story has hit TV screens recently, with the launch of "Feud," the miniseries which chronicles the rivalry between Crawford (played by Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) during the filming of "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" in the 1960s.

The L.A. home on the market is just across the street from the recently sold Playboy mansion and was built in 1939 for "Heidi" director Allan Dwan.

The Georgian colonial revival-style home sits on 1.66 acres of manicured grounds, which include a pool, a pool house pavilion and tennis court, according to the listing. That all appears to be virtually unchanged from the time of the movie, according to listing photos.

Other features of the white, five-bathroom home include a grand entrance to greet visitors, a dramatic spiral staircase, a wood-paneled living room with secret panels, an antique French fireplace and palladium windows in the master bedroom.
