Listing of the Day

Location: Los Angeles, California

Price: $15.895 million

The panoramic view from this Hollywood Hills house is decidedly its most notable feature. Looking out beyond the Fleetwood sliding doors, floor-to-ceiling glass and the infinity-edge pool, one can see the Griffith Observatory and the Getty Museum, which both stand at the same height as the house. Downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, the Pacific Ocean, Los Angeles International Airport and several islands are off in the distance.

"The view comes from all directions," said Ernie Carswell, the property’s listing agent. "The home is all about featuring our city—it really comes into [it]."

Chateau Marmont, a hotel with an Old Hollywood vibe near the Sunset Strip, is also within view. The house neighbors the Stahl House, also known as Case Study House #22, which is said to be one of the most photographed homes in the city.

There’s a rooftop terrace with a firepit, which is a true rarity in Los Angeles; ANR Signature Homes—the group behind the home’s design and build along with architect Birgit Hansen of Hansen Design—was able to obtain a permit to pull it off. "It’s an incredible perch point," Mr. Carswell said, as it offers a 360-degree view.

ANR Signature Homes is headed by Agustin Rodriguez and George Jordan, locals with 20 years of experience designing luxury homes in Southern California. Mr. Carswell said the home’s fittings and styling were modeled after Aman Resort outposts, which feature luxurious stone and wood materials. "That’s one of the most impactful design elements," Mr. Carswell said.

For instance, titanium-leathered stone adorns the fireplace and bar, the kitchen counters and island feature Cielo quartzite and the dual shower in the master bath is made from bookmatched Sequoia Brown quartzite.

Stats

Four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms are spread across 6,733- square-feet, along with a backyard, wraparound balconies and a roof terrace. The home has a two-car garage.
