A Miami luxury condo apartment with alleged links to the late Argentine President Néstor Kirchner has sold for $10.7 million, according to property records.

The unit in the posh Regalia building sold Jan. 3 for the same price that Dream Golden Enterprises—a company tied to the former president’s right-hand man, Héctor Daniel Muñoz— paid for it two years ago, property records show.

The connection between Kirchner, who served as the Argentine president from 2003 to 2007, and the single-floor residence with 360-degree views is convoluted, to say the least.

A shell company operated by an Argentine man named Sergio Todisco bought the unit back in June 2014, property records show. Mr. Todisco was the same, seemingly anonymous, agent who bought millions of dollars more in units in Miami buildings like the St. Regis and 900 Biscayne as well as a unit at New York’s storied Plaza Hotel.

Last spring, the Panama Papers, a massive leak of confidential files on offshore wealth, revealed that Mr. Todisco was working for an offshore company, Gold Black Limited—a real estate investment business owned by Kirchner’s personal secretary, Muñoz.

Kirchner died in 2010, and Muñoz died last year. But the revelation set off an inquiry by Argentine federal prosecutors into whether the offshore real estate investment company was laundering money for Muñoz or other Kirchner associates, the Miami Herald reported in the wake of the Panama Papers dump.

Of all the properties wrapped up in this shady offshore business, the Regalia unit was among the finest.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom apartment has 5,515 square feet of interior space plus a 2,100- square-foot wraparound terrace. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views in every direction.

The home boasts a "fully kosher kitchen," according to an old listing for the property. There’s also a private elevator and exotic stone countertops.

The buyer is another limited liability company, called Regalia 23 LLC. Kirchner’s wife, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who succeeded her husband as president between 2007 and 2015, was indicted at the end of 2016 for her alleged involvement in a corruption case involving public works. She was previously indicted earlier in the year for allegedly manipulating Argentina’s Central Bank.
