Price:  $135 million

Set atop a promontory in Beverly Hills' Trousdale Estates, the 2½-acre property features sweeping views of Los Angeles. The home's previous owner was the comedian Danny Thomas. Markus Persson, the creator of the video game Minecraft, owns the house next door, according to The Wall Street Journal.

With 18,000 square feet of interior space, the home has seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms. The Moorish-style mansion features arched doorways, gold leaf crown moldings and colorful mosaic tiles. The current owners spent $2.5 million on Baccarat chandeliers and handmade carpets, according to listing agent Aaron Kirman of John Aaroe Group.

Kirman said that many international buyers have shown interest in the property since it first hit the market in August.
