Leonardo DiCaprio has snapped up Moby’s fully renovated mansion in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for $4.91 million.

A trust belonging to Mr. DiCaprio closed on the home in March, according to the deed recently filed with the county and accessed through PropertyShark. It’s the latest investment in Mr. DiCaprio’s stacked portfolio of Los Angeles-area properties.

His latest investment spans about one-quarter of an acre in a hillside neighborhood in Central Los Angeles, and includes a stone, traditional-style house set behind a thick of trees and hedges.

Mr. DiCaprio, 43, bought the home from musician and DJ Moby, who overhauled the 1920s manor-style home over two years, according to the listing with Patrick Martin and Gwen Banta of Sotheby’s International Realty. The listing agents marketed the home as "Moby’s Los Feliz Masterpiece."

Moby listed the home in February, mere weeks before going into contract.

Images of the home show Moby gave the century-old property a contemporary facelift using today’s favorite look: marble countertops, white-painted crown molding and Midcentury Modern furnishings.

The songwriter installed a range of modern amenities, including a new kitchen with a walk-in pantry, a steam room and security system. There’s a loft space suited for a yoga room or study, and a first-floor bonus suite that could serve as an office and guest room.

In total, there are five bedrooms—including two master suites—indoor and outdoor dining, a pool and hot tub.

It’s not clear whether Mr. DiCaprio, a serial home flipper, has purchased the Los Feliz property as a primary residence or an investment. A rep for the Oscar-winning actor did not immediately return a request for comment.
