The two-bedroom apartment sits at the top of an eight-story brick co-operative built in 1911 on Canal Street. It has oversized arched windows with views over the river, a private elevator and a recent gut renovation courtesy of the "Fargo" actress.

Much of the apartment is lined in exposed brick, with wide-plank hardwood floors and evidence of recent updates, including solid marble countertops in the kitchen.

Ms. Dunst bought the home more than a decade ago for $3.09 million through a trust linked to her film company, Wooden Spoon Productions, Mansion Global previously reported. She put the home on the market over a year ago, originally priced at $5 million.

The actress-producer left much of her style behind.

She was selling the home with some of her own furnishings, a mix of modern pieces and antiques, as well as a kitchen stocked with top appliances, according to the listing with Jared Seligman and Evan Danzig formerly of Douglas Elliman who are both now with Stribling. The agents did not immediately return a request for comment.
