News anchor and journalist Katie Couric has bid adieu to her co-op apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

The five-bedroom apartment sold last week for $7.785 million, property records show, 2.6% below its most recent asking price of $7.995 million and almost a half-million less than the $8.25 million Ms. Couric originally listed it for in October last year.

Located on posh Park Avenue, the 10-room apartment has a semi-private elevator landing, oversized windows, a library, and a chef’s eat-in kitchen with a butler’s pantry.

The home also has a staff room, original parquet flooring and views of Park Avenue’s tulip gardens and The Brick Church, according to the listing with Alexa Lambert, Marc Achilles and Julie Soffen of Stribling. The brokers declined to comment on the transaction.

Its monthly maintenance runs to the tune of $7,364.

The anchor still retains another, pricier, apartment close by in the neighborhood. Ms. Couric and her husband, John Molner, purchased an almost 4,000-square-foot condo on East 78th Street for $12.16 million in 2016, property records show. The property has five bedrooms, including a private bedroom wing, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Ms. Couric, 61, is famed for her tenure on NBC’s "The Today Show" from 1991 to 2006 and for hosting shows across all major U.S. networks.

She most recently served as Yahoo! Global News Anchor, before ending her contract last year. She now hosts a podcast.
