A Beverly Hills home with an all-star pedigree is welcoming new celebrity owners: Model Kate Upton and husband Justin Verlander, pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, according to Trulia.
Mindy Peters, the ex-wife of “Batman” producer Jon Peters, sold the power couple the home in early October for $5.25 million, according to Los Angeles County property records.
Previous owners of the five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion also include star saxophonist Kenny G, original “Charlie’s Angel” Kate Jackson, tennis player Pete Sampras, and that’s just in the past 30 years, records show.
The home, styled after an East Coast country estate, was built in 1976 and has a tennis court and pool on a 1.55-acre lot. The style of the home includes pitched ceilings, exposed beams and French doors, according to a listing with Hilton & Hyland.
The all-star couple will have plenty of space to entertain; the home has a flagstone patio area with a built-in bar perfect for outdoor parties.
Inside, the 5,521-square-foot home has a master suite with its own fireplace and dual closets and baths. There are three additional bedroom suites and a large office space with a separate entrance, according to the listing.
Ms. Peters has been trying to sell or rent the property since at least 2011, playing with the price several times a year. She listed the home for rent in 2015 at a whopping $35,000 per month before putting it up for sale for $6.495 million last December, according to records on Zillow.
Ms. Upton, 24, and Mr. Verlander, 33, bought the home for $200,000 less than the latest listing price of $5.475 million.
Listing agents Judy Feder and Susan Smith of Hilton & Hyland did not immediately return requests for comment. Representatives for Ms. Upton and Mr. Verlander were not immediately reachable.
The Benedict Canyon neighborhood is chock full of celebrity homes, including Eddie Murphy’s luxe pad (formerly the home of singer Cher), which is on the market now for $85 million.
