Jane Fonda and her ex-partner, record producer Richard Perry, appear to be in a rush to part with their Beverly Hills home.

The "Barbarella" star and the producer who has worked with the likes of Tina Turner and Ringo Starr have just cut the price of their mansion by $1.5 million to $11.495 million despite it only being on the market for less than a month, listing records show.

The new asking price for the modernist mansion is more than $4 million more than the 79-year-old actress and Mr. Perry paid in 2012, according to Redfin data.

Located in the coveted Trousdale Estates neighborhood of Beverly Hills, the 7,100-square-foot, two-story property boasts six bedrooms, five bathrooms and impressive canyon and ocean views, according to the listing.

Other features of the main house include a large walk-in closet, media room, a gym (where the fitness guru no doubt worked out often), a home office, which Ms. Fonda describes as a "cave," as well as a glass elevator.

The property is on a 36,000-square-foot lot, which includes covered and open patios, a pool, a pavilion with fire pit, and a meditation garden with fountain.

The eco-conscious estate also comes with photovoltaic electric panels, a solar-heated pool, thermal glass double glazed UV windows with motorized shades, and bamboo floors —all in keeping with Ms. Fonda’s environmental activism.

Speaking in a video accompanying the listing, Ms. Fonda, whose notable films include "They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?" and "On Golden Pond," said that the house is perfect for parties and was the site of her 75th birthday party, where she hosted 150 guests.

The two-time Academy Award winner is currently starring in Netflix’s "Grace and Frankie," which also stars Lily Tomlin and Martin Sheen about two women whose husbands leave them for each other.

She and Mr. Perry announced at the end of January that they were splitting after eight years together.

A spokesperson for Ms. Fonda did not respond immediately to request for comment, while the co-listing agents Valerie Fitzgerald and Jade Mills, of Coldwell Banker Previews International, confirmed the price cut.
