A six-story townhouse built in 1878, and once belonging to Oscar-winning actor Henry Fonda, has just sold for $9.9 million.

The house, at 151 East 74th St., went on the market at the beginning of the year, with an asking price of $12.45 million, according to brokerage Leslie J. Garfield.

In addition to Fonda, a member of Old Hollywood royalty and patriarch of the famous acting family, the home was once owned by Captain Kermit Roosevelt, the son of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt.

Fonda bought the house in 1949 and hosted his wedding to Italian baroness Afdera Franchetti there in 1957. The house nabbed landmark status in 2011, and retains its original Colonial Revival-style limestone and brick facade.

Fonda died at age 77 in 1982, shortly after winning his only Oscar for "On Golden Pond."

Inside, the 5,400-square-foot mansion has eight bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, an eat-in chef’s kitchen, a garden, terrace and fireplaces.

Representatives for the brokerage told Luxury Listings that the buyer is a New York City real estate developer, but declined to give any more details.
