Listing of the Day
Location: Haverford, Pennsylvania
Price: $2.5 million
Situated about 10 miles west of Philadelphia in the Main Line region, this Georgian-style house with a red-brick exterior dates back to 1921.
Homeowner Michael Coslov bought the property in 1989. Since then, he’s made dozens of improvements, including a full kitchen renovation, as well as the addition of a second kitchen, a swimming pool, outdoor dining areas and a heated driveway.
“The home is always filled with guests,” said Coslov, who hired renowned chef Bruce Lim to cater his parties and events.
“With his professional input, we built a temperature- and humidity-controlled ‘chocolate room,’ which we use to make candies,” Coslov said.
There’s also a commercial-grade walk-in refrigerator in the basement, along with a pasta station and a bakery.
Set on 1.57 acres, the 8,040-square-foot house has five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two powder rooms.
Coslov converted the attic into a room with 80 feet of cabinetry to display his wife Debra’s collection of china tableware.
The house is within walking distance of a train station with direct access to Philadelphia, according to listing agent Robin Gordon of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach Realtors.
The home is also near the Merion Cricket Club, which hosts tennis and squash tournaments.
Coslov is selling the house because he and Debra are moving to Florida. “I will miss the great times I had gathering in the house with family and friends,” he said.
