Two acres of immaculately landscaped property, 500 feet of waterfront and more than 16,000 square feet of living space are available at Fort Lauderdale’s most expensive home on the market.

The eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom home was listed Friday for $32 million, making it the priciest pad in town by $3 million, according to listings on Realtor.com.

"It’s a beautiful Georgian coastal home in Florida," said Dale Atkins of ONE Sotheby's International Realty, who holds the listing with Dennis Stevick. "It’s one of the largest parcels in the city, with two gated entrances and magnificent wide water views."

Miami-based landscape architect Raymond Jungles designed the grounds, where mature trees, flowers, Spanish moss and other plants surround the home.

Mr. Jungles "designed the entire property," Mr. Atkins said. "All the trees were brought in full size, and there are orchids growing all over."

"Millions of dollars were spent on the grounds alone," Mr. Stevick added.

The home was last listed in 2016, according to public records, and the current owners, Donald and Rebecca McKinney, purchased the land for $3.2 million in 1999. Mr. McKinney, who was not immediately available for comment, is the CEO of Unbound Technologies, a technology firm.

The home was completed in 2007, according to the listing. Mr. McKinney was very "hands on" in the design of the Fort Lauderdale home, the agents said. He is now based in California, where he is currently working on "an amazing ranch" on the coast.

In addition to the expansive gardens, the home has about 5,000 square feet of terraces, the agents said, with many of the ground-floor rooms leading to outdoor space.

The floorplan was designed with entertaining in mind, Mr. Stevick said.

"In addition to the kitchen having every conceivable feature, it also opens up to the decks outside and connects to the formal dining room," he said.

The bedrooms are generously sized, the agents said, offering en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. There’s also a wine cellar, elevator, media room and second-floor library.

On the opposite end of the house is a huge room, Mr. Atkins said, which is waiting to become a grand theater or reception area. Plus there is a third-floor bar with a cigar terrace for smoking sessions with a sunset view.

A freestanding two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom guest house was built on the property as well, boasting SubZero appliances and a terrace. For car enthusiasts, there’s a six-car garage, and, of course, plenty of space for water crafts, as Fort Lauderdale is a "yachting capital," the agents said.

The home is accessible via two security gates, and is at the end of a cul de sac, offering privacy. But it’s only a few minutes drive to dining and shopping in the downtown area. And it’s about a 15 to 20 minute drive to the airport, where the private jet is undoubtedly parked.
