Southern charm meets star accommodations at the former lakeside estate of Reba McEntire.
About 30 miles outside of Nashville, in Lebanon, Tennessee, the seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom home was recently listed for $2.95 million. Set on almost eight acres, the property has views of Old Hickory Lake, as well as a dock on the water, a five-stall working barn, a tennis court, pool house and "guitar-shaped pool."
Ms. McEntire sold the property, which was originally 83 acres, to a developer in July for $5 million, according to public records. The additional acreage not included in the current listing will be subdivided into 15 parcels and developed as Cherokee Meadows, according to reports. The development will include 15 new houses.
The estate was first listed by Ms. McEntire and her ex-husband, producer Narvel Blackstock, in August 2016 for $7.9 million. The couple moved there in 1990.

Now the property is "much more manageable,"said listing agent Fiona Parrish King of Worth Properties.Although, if someone does want a bit more space, five acres could be part of the sale for an additional fee, she added.That would give the buyer almost 13 acres of land.
"It’s a waterfront estate with true southern glamour in a resort-like setting," Ms. King said.
That southern style is immediately on display, as guests and residents enter the estate via a tree-lined avenue with the lake in the distance, Ms. King said. Walnut doors frame a grand entrance, leading to a marble foyer and a three-level spiral staircase.

An expansive living room has a five-foot limestone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the lake, according to the listing. There’s a custom bar, also with a view, plus plenty of room for mixing mint juleps.
The dining room boasts custom-made, built-in china cabinets, as well as a fireplace, bay window and bronze and alabaster chandeliers. There are also custom cabinets in the kitchen, which boasts granite countertops, two Bosch dishwashers and Wolf appliances, the listing said.
The master suite has "a southwestern feel," Ms. King said, with wooden beamed ceilings and an adobe fireplace. French doors lead out to a terrace overlooking the lake, which also has a fireplace, and there’s a yacht-style sleeping alcove with built-in storage. A marble bathroom offers a copper soaking tub and separate marble shower, and there’s a two-story closet and dressing area.

Outside, the pool house has ample room for entertaining, plus a kitchenette and two full bathrooms. Its sound system can be heard around the saltwater pool, spa and the surrounding terrace. Other amenities include an eight-car garage, lighted tennis court, fitness room, wine cellar and private theater.
There’s room for five equine friends in the stalls of the working barn on the estate, which also has a flat for guests or caretakers. The barn includes tack and feed rooms for the horses, as well as an arena/turnout area, according to the listing. There’s also a gas pump on the property.
