The Hollywood Hills estate belonging to Oscar-winning actor Forest Whitaker and his wife, Keisha, hit the market on Friday asking $5.995 million.
The two-home property in Los Angeles is in a gated community and set on 1.66 acres of hillside land. City records show that the couple bought the neighboring homes in 2003 in two separate transactions for a combined $2 million. It’s described by its listing with Douglas Elliman’s Liz Gottainer and Jeeb O’Reilly, as the “ultimate celebrity compound.”

Built in 1998, the main house has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a two-story entry, a double staircase, a game room, a chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room, a “custom spa-like master bedroom,” maid’s quarters and a wraparound terrace.
The secondary, or guest house—right next door—is just a little older, having been built in 1992. It spans three floors and has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and its own private gated entry, per the listing.
Combined, the pair come with 8,396 square feet of living space and share a pool, a spa and an outdoor kitchen and dining area.
Variety first reported the listing.
Representatives for Douglas Elliman and Mr. Whitaker did not immediately responded to our requests for comment.
Mr. Whitaker, 56, won a Best Actor Academy Award for his role in the 2006 film “The Last King of Scotland.”
