If you’ve got $57.5 million to spend on a new beachside home, great news: You can be the owner of a spectacular Malibu compound owned by Hollywood mega-producer Joel Silver, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Located on Pacific Coast Highway on almost three-quarters of an acre, the two-story Carbon Beach home includes five bedrooms, six baths, open living spaces, a chef’s kitchen, and a striking circular driveway, according to the listing. It’s also got plenty of perks you’d expect from a spread belonging to the producer behind some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters— “Lethal Weapon” and “The Matrix” included—like a swimming pool with ocean views, a spa, a beautiful courtyard, and a tennis court (the only home along Carbon Beach to have one.)
Also cool: The interior construction mixes typical beach home details like floor-to-ceiling glass walls and marble tiles with rustic touches like brick, dark wood floors, beamed ceilings, a cozy fireplace, and a lofted wooden workspace above the living room.
For company, there’s a detached guest house that features an additional two bedroom and two baths.
The house has a history of serious movie cred.
According to property records, Mr. Silver purchased the property over a decade ago from Robert Chartoff, the late movie producer known for “Rocky,” “Raging Bull” and “The Right Stuff.”
Mr. Silver, 64, has produced over 80 movies, most of which fall into the action genre.
Listing agent Judy Feder of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, didn’t immediately return requests for comment.
