They say a picture is worth a thousand words and looking at this luxurious Costa Rican retreat—up for online auction on Nov. 15— it's hard not to agree.

In addition to spectacular 270-degree ocean views, the three-bedroom mountaintop villa—located on Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula—comes with some pretty enticing bells and whistles, including a sub-level wine cellar, a 48-foot infinity pool, a 2002 Land Rover Defender with off-roading capabilities, two sustainable freshwater wells, a four-seat dune buggy, and a full-size Caterpillar backhoe for property maintenance, according to the listing.

But for the right buyer, the 13-acre property's biggest perk is its possibilities: The winning bidder will receive a complete set of condo/resort master plans outlining development opportunities, including an approved 26-unit condo or hotel master plan as well as plans for building five additional luxury homes, the listing said.

While a starting bid hasn't been specified, the property was previously listed at US$1,750,000, according to Grand Estates Auction Company, who is spearheading the bidding.

Interested? If you can swing it, in-person previews are being held by appointment on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Only registered participants can access the auction and timing details, and will then be given access to a live video feed that showcases the auctioneer.

It's also worth noting that the villa is completely turnkey if the buyer wants it that way—even the linens and silverware can be included. As the listing says, "The winning bidder will only need to bring a bathing suit, the Champagne will already be on ice!"
