Doc Ellingson, who has the listing with Sotheby’s International Real Estate, said the seller is a world traveler who had a special vision.
"He bought two half-acre lots on the point of the gated community. Then he sat down with an architect to share his vision and he built the estate," Mr. Ellingson said. Palm Beach County public records show the seller bought the lots in 2012 for a total of $837,500.
First listed in July, the mansion has an impressive two-story master suite that includes two private patios, a terrace, an office and a hot tub.
