The first residential building in the massive Hudson Yards project on the far west side of Manhattan has sold more than a quarter of its units since sales began in mid-September.
Seventy-five of 285 luxury units in the Fifteen Hudson Yards condominium have sold so far for an average price of just under $5 million, co-developers Related Companies and Oxford Properties announced on Wednesday.
At the 88-story glass tower, condos, ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, start at $3.785 million and go up to $32 million. Buyers can customize their units by picking from five residence types and two interior design palettes, said Sherry Tobak, senior vice president of Related Sales.
“The center of gravity in New York City is shifting and the west side is where New Yorkers want to spend their time and live,” said Jeff Blau, CEO at Related Companies, in the announcement.

Related Companies has billed the new, 28-acre development as a city unto itself. When completed in 2019, the brand new neighborhood will have more than 100 storefronts, ranging from Manhattan’s first Neiman Marcus department store to a restaurant by Per Se chef Thomas Keller. There will be a 750-seat public school, a SoulCycle, an Equinox-branded hotel and multiple public parks.
The project’s office buildings have already announced a slew of high-profile tenants, including financial giant BlackRock, electronic trading platform MarketAxess, L’Oréal USA headquarters, handbag maker Coach, a subsidiary of Alphabet (Google) among others.
Fifteen Hudson Yards, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Rockwell Group, has 30,000 square feet of amenities. The 50th floor has a 75-foot-long pool, private spa, beauty bar with hair and makeup services, a private yoga studio with group classes, and a children’s playroom the developers are calling an “imagination center.”
The 51st floor has entertainment spaces, including a sound-proof screening room, collaborative work space, private dining suites and a golf club lounge.
