Former NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has found a buyer for his beach house in Southern California, according to listing records.

Mr. Asomugha, the husband of actress Kerry Washington, put the architectural concrete and wood-sided home in Manhattan Beach on the market in October for just shy of $6 million, records show. It went into contract earlier this month with a discount at $5.495 million.

The two-family home is configured as a three-bedroom residence and private guest quarters with a separate entrance. It sits in a line of several tightly packed properties and is steps from the beach, images of the property show.

The window-lined main living area on the second floor has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace and open kitchen, according to the listing with brokers Michael Grady and Stephen Sigoloff of The Agency. The agents declined to comment for this story.

A large work space spans the top floor and has "extraordinary views" of the Pacific Ocean over the tops of neighboring homes, according to the listing.

The property’s guest residence has a kitchenette, a vaulted ceiling and two rooms.

Mr. Asomugha bought the home in 2010—before he married Ms. Washington, star of the ABC series "Scandal"—for $2.85 million, property records show.

The pro footballer played for the Raiders from 2003 to 2010 before stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. He’s now breaking into Hollywood as an actor and producer, according to The Los Angeles Times, which first reported the sale.

A rep for Mr. Asomugha, 36, did not immediately return request for comment.
